In this thread, I’d like to give some facts about the Tropicana type of dragon fruit (also called Rix). I must inform you immediately that there is very little information. If I have more information, I will add to this topic.
Description
Tropicana is a hybrid Dragon Fruit variety from the Hylocereus genus. The species is a rapid grower. The fruit can attain a maximum weight of 900 grams. The flavor is quite sweet and registers 20 to 21 BRIX on a refractor meter.

When the plant is immature, it produces few fruits, but after it matures, it will be able to produce numerous. Self-sterile, the plant requires cross-pollination to produce fruit. The fruit is quite good and has a pleasant level of sweetness.
Conclusion
In conclusion, I would like to say that this variety of dragonfruit is our favorite. In our personal evaluation, it would have gotten all 10 out of 10 if not for the fact that it is self-sterile. It’s really close to perfect because of its rich flavor, fruit weight, and plant growth rate.
